Our Mission

Our Story

In 2018 our family learned of a local organization that delivers comfort bags and other essential items to children being taken or misplaced from their homes and put into group homes or foster care. One of the biggest reasons children go through this is the current opioid crisis. We were shocked to hear the number of children they support throughout the year and even more shocked to hear about the number of children placed just in one group home within our area. We met with Brent at IamJ3, who was a very thoughtful and inspiring person. He posed a question he asks many, "What are you doing to make the world a better place?"

With all the information we had received, as we were leaving, we felt God tugging on our hearts. We asked ourselves, "Honestly, what are we doing to make the world a better place?" We felt God calling us to do more. That was when we were put into contact with Julie at the group home.

Fostering Faith Foundation grants the Christmas Wishes of children in the foster care system; while providing needed aid, resources and community outreach to foster children, foster families, kinship families, group homes and those who have aged out throughout the year.

We love because Jesus Christ first loved us. We aim to show God's love at work through the help we give these children and the community around us.

In 2018 we gifted each child on our list with homemade blankets featuring a verse sewed into each one. We served 60 children in 2018 (26 on campus  & 34 placed in foster homes), ranging from one month to 18 years old.

In 2019, we felt the calling to go further. We called the group home and requested ALL the children's holiday lists. We were given 30 on-campus children and 24 children placed in foster homes. We found families to sponsor 46 children while our family took on the remaining 8.  We had children ranging from 6 months to 19 years old.

In 2020, we served 90 Children over 2 foster facilities, 1 family impacted by a house fire, and over 50 employees. We also raised over $8000 from charitable contributions.

"In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive."
